The stories behind our talented team.
Founder, President & CEO
Phillip Bullard has nearly 40 years of management experience for corporate, non-profit and entrepreneurial facilities. He has guided Maintenance Concepts Inc. since 1997.
During that time, the company has brought direct oversight to the engineering and maintenance staffs for all Hotel Equities properties, including the evaluation and on-going preventative care of its assets. In addition, Phil oversees renovations, negotiates vendor contracts and coordinates management needs for a variety of clients.
His experience began with positions with Otis Elevators and later Kmart where he trained as a manager and opened stores nationwide. He was a construction material purchasing agent for two major corporations before moving to Atlanta to direct warehouse operations for Kajima Process Mechanical Division. He later used his experience to work with the Atlanta Union Mission to set up a warehouse and store operations.
Phil served on Marriott’s Capital Asset Planning and Execution committee. He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Hospitality and has served the community via his church, Rotary Club, Citizen’s Police Academy and with a variety of non-profit organizations.
Devoted to his family, he enjoys golf, tennis and playing chess.

Adam Bullard joined Maintenance Concepts in 2005 and has worked alongside his father since that time to grow and enhance the company’s services.
Prior to that, Adam spent 10 years in the hospitality industry completing a management program for Marriott Hotels. He received his NASCLA general contractors license in 2001.
Adam has called Atlanta home for 31 years. He is a husband and father of two children, Jaxon and Taylor. In his spare time he enjoys coaching his son’s football team, playing tennis, reading, and is an avid music lover.
Of the industry he loves, Adam subscribes to a mantra first attributed to Lily Tomlin: “The road to success is always under construction.”
MCI Renovation Inc.
Tyler Martin more than 20 years experience in the construction and carpentry industries, Tyler honed his early woodworking skills at the side of his grandfather who found great joy in furniture construction and refinishing wood with meticulous care. At 15 and still in high school, he was introduced to the construction industry while working alongside his uncle. His first position took him to Houston, Texas, with Geyer Enterprises where he learned the renovation and consultation side of the business and quickly advanced to a supervisory position.
After graduating with a B.S. degree in physical education from the College of the Southwest in 2009, he served as installation manager for All Floors and More, specializing in residential flooring, and as a core technician for Weatherford Oil. He later split his time between residential construction with the formation of his own business, Coaches Construction, and coaching middle school football and basketball. After a short and satisfying stint as an elementary P.E. teacher at Fort Bend Christian Academy, he returned to his passion for building and maintenance by relocating to Dunwoody, Georgia, for the opportunity to open MCI Home Renovations, the residential division of Maintenance Concepts, and to focus on what he truly loves to do.
Tyler and his wife Hannah have two children, Cason and Brooke. He is a born and raised Texan who enjoys woodworking, plinking and spending time with his family.
Cathy Hoback manages Maintenance Concepts’ account with The Container Store for its business-to-business Elfa installations. Her responsibilities span from quality control to invoicing and customer service.
Before joining Maintenance Concepts, Cathy retired from the U.S. Postal Service where she served its facilities department assisting project managers and contract specialists with leases, repairs and renovations of facilities in the southeast.
